About

Our Four’s – Grade R Programme

Our Fours and Grade R programme prepares children for a successful transition into formal schooling. Through a balanced curriculum, learners are introduced to essential literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Children engage in activities that develop reading readiness, writing skills, sound recognition, and mathematical understanding. Our classrooms provide a print-rich environment where learners can connect spoken and written language while building confidence in their abilities.

Our Grade R programme follows the CAPS curriculum, ensuring that learners are well prepared for Grade 1. Progress reports are issued quarterly, and parent-teacher meetings are held twice a year to discuss each child’s growth, achievements, and developmental milestones.

CAPS-Aligned Grade R Curriculum

  • Numeracy and mathematics readiness
  • Creative arts and expression
  • Life skills and social development
  • Problem-solving and reasoning activities
  • Educational play and discovery learning

Children participate in structured classroom routines while still benefiting from play-based learning experiences that encourage confidence and independence.
